We created the Focus|Ed program to research the experiences, barriers and factors that are contributing to the CTE teacher shortage for Indiana and across the country.
Our goal is to create and implement best practices for professional development, recruitment and retention of educators. We also hope to develop an efficient and effect mentoring program to foster support and unity in the field of CTE.

Focus|Ed is the recruitment and retention program for CTE teachers in the state of Indiana.
The main objective of Focus|Ed is to give teachers the resources to continue growing and enjoy teaching CTE.
Utilizing information given from teachers and directors in CTE, Focus|Ed will build custom professional development for all CTE instructors, support needs of directors for their teachers, mentor and coach programs, build opportunities with business and post-secondary partners for teachers, recruitment of new teachers, and continually adding to help grow our CTE community.
