Recruitment Best Practices

Recruiting educators from both industry and from education degree programs is a focal point of our program. Currently, we feel there is a noticeable gap of recruitment for career and technical education in this area.

Industry specialists are more important than ever when it comes to bolstering and increasing the number of teachers within every career cluster in CTE. We seek to utilize our research and other available research to develop a best strategies practice for engaging and pulling potential teachers from industry.

We also recognize that there are less CTE educators coming from traditional education degree programs. This is likely due to the lack of awareness surrounding CTE options in these programs. We seek to provide better resources and guidance for new and potential teachers from this area. This course is a gathering of this information and the best recruiting practices we’ve found so far.
