Indiana school counselor Julie Hill has been recognized with the American Association of Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Region III Career Guidance Award at a ceremony in Lisle, IL. Hill was nominated by an instructor at an area career center and received the Career Guidance Award for the state of Indiana in September 2018. The Career Guidance Award was developed to recognize school counselors and career development professionals who have demonstrated commitment to connecting students with opportunities for success, shown innovation in career exploration and development, and have advocated for CTE as a viable option for all students. One of five finalists, Hill will represent Indiana and Region III at the ACTE Vision Conference in Anaheim in December where the national winner will be announced.
